Global Leadership and Impact Through Anaheim University's Ed.D. in TESOL Program
Dr. Linh Phung was the first graduate of Anaheim University’s Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in TESOL program in 2017. Dr. Phung shared her experience in the program:
“As a member of the inaugural cohort in the EdD in TESOL program from 2013 to 2017, I had the privilege of experiencing firsthand the exceptional quality and innovation that define this program. The faculty comprises top scholars in the field, whose dedication to their students’ success is remarkable. Throughout my studies, I found the courses to be rigorously designed, engaging, and relevant, providing a solid foundation in both theory and practice. The program’s innovative structure, combining asynchronous learning with live sessions, fostered an interactive and dynamic learning environment that accommodated diverse learning needs.
Since completing my degree, I have published several books and research articles, some of which were in collaboration with former professor Hayo Reinders. I have conducted research together with another EdD graduate, Dr. Bradford Lee. I have been selected as an English Language Specialist by the U.S. Department of State in 2023. I have been elected to serve the Nominating Committee of TESOL International Association with over 10,000 members worldwide. These achievements are a testament to the strong preparation and enduring relationships fostered by the program. Moreover, many of my peers have gone on to make significant contributions to the field of TESOL, conducting impactful research and advancing educational practices worldwide. The rigorous academic training at Anaheim University equips graduates with the skills and confidence necessary to excel in various professional contexts.
Anaheim University’s EdD in TESOL offers high-quality, accessible education that transcends geographical barriers, empowering students, teachers, and aspiring researchers globally.”
