Accreditation

Anaheim University is accredited by the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC). The DEAC is listed by the U.S. Department of Education as a recognized accrediting agency and recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation, or CHEA (www.chea.org). On February 24th, 2025, the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC) informed Anaheim University that the university’s accreditation had been withdrawn. Anaheim University has appealed that decision and the appeal is pending. The university remains accredited during the entire appeal process.

Anaheim University is also approved to operate by the California Bureau for Private Post-Secondary Education. “Approval to operate” means that Anaheim University operates in compliance with state standards as set forth in the California Education Code and the California Code of Regulations.
