• Dr. David Desser, founding Dean of the Akira Kurosawa School of Film, is a renowned film scholar who has authored and edited numerous books on cinema and has taught at prestigious institutions, including the University of Southern California (USC), University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), University of Pennsylvania, University of Michigan, Kansai University in Japan, Hong Kong Baptist University and the University of Illinois. Holding a Ph.D. in Cinema Studies from the University of Southern California (Ph.D.), he brings a wealth of expertise to students.

• Vikram Channa, Associate Dean of the Akira Kurosawa School of Film, serves as Warner Bros. Discovery Networks Head of Production Asia-Pacific, leading content production and development across the region.
