Graduating from UCLA with a BA (Political Science with a specialization in American Politics), she followed that up with becoming a member of the inaugural class of the Certification in Screenwriting Program, UCLA. Later, she obtained her MFA (specialization in Screenwriting) from the prestigious UCLA School of Theater, Film, Television, and Digital Media where she was awarded The APA Marty Klein Comedy Writing Award for outstanding comedic writing.

Upon graduation, she optioned her first script to Mark Morgan (Executive Producer of The
Twilight Series). Later, she secured a position as the only female story consultant/screenwriter
on the first animated movie about the history of Islam: Mohammad, The Last Prophet.

As one of four people to work for Academy Award winner Ron Bass’ Predawn Productions,
Firdosi worked on several exceptional and noteworthy films including Before We Go, Mozart
and The Whale, and Amelia starring Academy Award winner Hilary Swank. Ron and Firdosi
sold an idea together to Universal Pictures called The Older Woman and currently are
completing a passion project about four east Indian women and their relationships with their
daughters entitled Rummy Karma.

Firdosi has sold and optioned many scripts to such companies as Wind Dancer Films,
Maverick, Lion’s Gate, and Cosmic Entertainment. She enjoys sharing her education and
experience with any other scribe with a dream.
