How our faculty teach

Nobody here records a lecture and walks away. Every program is built around live classes with the professor in the room, small enough that you speak in them.

Ed.D. and MA in TESOL

a weekly 90-minute live webcam class

Nine-week courses, a new one every 10 weeks. The Ed.D. adds two required four-day residential sessions, held once a year, plus a dissertation committee and a $2,000 research reserve fund.

DBA, MBA and Master of Entrepreneurship

two 90-minute live seminars per course

Faculty teach from Japan, Europe and the Americas, so seminar times are set to work across time zones.

MFA in Digital Filmmaking

a weekly 90-minute live class, often with an industry guest

Includes a one-week hands-on residential in Hollywood.

BA in Creative Communications

a 90-minute live class, the first hour led by the professor

The second half is worked through with classmates, so the cohort matters as much as the lecture.

Books by our faculty

Faculty here publish with Oxford University Press, Cambridge University Press, Cengage, Prentice-Hall, Longman and McGraw-Hill — in several cases, the standard text for the subject they teach.

Applications are open for the Akio Morita School of Business, the Kisho Kurokawa Green Institute, the Akira Kurosawa School of Film and the Graduate School of Education. Professors teach from home or office, on infrastructure built for live online delivery since 1998.

Minimum requirement: a doctoral degree in a relevant subject, plus significant teaching and professional experience in the subjects taught.

Requirements by school

What each school asks for. If you have the qualifications and the professional experience, and teaching global professionals from your own home or office interests you, we would like to hear from you.

Akio Morita School of Business

A doctoral degree in a relevant subject, and significant teaching and professional experience in the subject taught. Professors are expected to make a strong commitment to providing daily online feedback during each course.

Kisho Kurokawa Green Institute

Professors are currently being sought. Candidates should have a doctoral degree and teaching or professional experience related to corporate social responsibility, sustainability or the environment.

Graduate School of Education

A doctoral degree in a TESOL or Linguistics-related subject, and significant teaching and professional experience in the subject taught.

Akira Kurosawa School of Film

Requirements vary greatly depending on the course. Tell us what you teach and we will tell you where it fits.

You do not need special equipment. Anaheim University has taught real-time online degree programs since 1998, to students in more than 40 countries. All software is hosted on the University’s own servers, and the infrastructure is built so that professors who are not confident with technology can still teach comfortably online. A computer and an internet connection are enough.
